After 6.5 years of dedicated service, our Executive Director, Nicole LaTourelle, will be retiring in January 2026, marking nearly seven years of remarkable leadership.
Under Nicole’s guidance, the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation has grown into one of the most recognized health-care charities in Manitoba. With vision, energy, and heart, she strengthened donor relationships, championed our mission, and led transformational projects, including:
- The $1.5 million courtyard revitalization, the largest project in our history
- The revitalization of a dementia care unit ($750,000), improving the quality of life for residents and families
- The renovation of the bariatric bathing suites, ensuring greater dignity and safety for patients
- The ongoing purchase of vital medical equipment, meeting urgent and evolving needs
These milestones reflect Nicole’s tireless commitment to enhancing care at Deer Lodge Centre. Beyond bricks, mortar, and equipment, her true legacy lies in the strong, resilient team she has built and the lasting relationships she has nurtured with our community of donors and partners.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, our donors, and the entire Deer Lodge community, I would like to thank Nicole for her passion, professionalism, and dedication. She has guided us through our largest projects, elevated our reputation in the healthcare community, and left us with a strong foundation for the future.
We will miss her dearly, but we celebrate her well-earned retirement and wish her the very best in this next chapter of her life.
