Within our long-term care areas, residents receive the daily care, specialized support, and meaningful connection they need to live with dignity. This includes personal care home residents, individuals living with dementia, those who require behavioural supports, and a small number of eligible Veterans who are prioritized for placement at Deer Lodge Centre.

Deer Lodge Centre is home to the largest number of specialized dementia care beds in Manitoba, including 32 Special Needs Behavioural Unit beds. It is also the only health facility in Manitoba where eligible Veterans are prioritized for personal care home placement.
That means Deer Lodge Centre cares for residents with some of the most complex needs in the province. Many residents require specialized equipment, adapted spaces, safe bathing areas, therapeutic recreation, mobility supports, and comfort-focused furnishings that go far beyond the basics.
