The Deer Lodge Centre Foundation is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re pleased to share a leadership update with our community. As we thank Nicole LaTourelle for her many contributions and the strong foundation she leaves behind, we’re also delighted to welcome Cat Ross, M.S.M. as our new Executive Director!

Cat Ross, Executive Director, Deer Lodge Centre Foundation
Cat has joined our team, bringing more than 20 years of executive leadership across the non-profit sector, most recently serving with the Winnipeg Humane Society (WHS) as their Chief Operations Officer. Beyond her work at the WHS, Cat is the Founder and President of KIDS Initiative Inc. and serves as a Board Member with Turning Leaf Support Services.
Throughout her career, Cat has built a strong reputation for values-based leadership, community and donor engagement, and advancing mission-driven organizations.
What makes Cat’s appointment especially meaningful is that her connection to Deer Lodge Centre is not only professional but also deeply personal. Like many families in our community, Cat experienced firsthand the care, compassion, and dedication of Deer Lodge staff when her grandfather lived at the Centre during the final years of his life. That lived experience brings an authentic understanding of the profound difference Deer Lodge makes, not just for residents, but for the families who walk alongside them.
As we look ahead, we are excited for the experience, vision, and values-based leadership Cat brings as the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation will continue to elevate its mission, strengthen donor confidence, and amplify awareness of the critical role Deer Lodge Centre plays in our city’s healthcare landscape.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Cat Ross to the Deer Lodge Centre community!
