

Deer Lodge Centre is seeking volunteers to help make lives better for our patients and residents. We accept volunteers starting at the age of 13, and provide training for each position. We ask for a minimal commitment of one shift per week for the first three months, unless otherwise stated.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
- Deer Lodge Auxiliary
Help organize fundraisers
Once a month, two-year commitment
- Chad’s Place bartender and server positions
Must have a server’s certificate for both positions
1:30-4:30 once per week, one-year commitment
- Chad’s Place coffee program
Serve coffee and tea, deliver newspapers to some units
8:30-11:15 shift available
- Chad’s Place piano player
Play piano/organ
2:00-4:00 shift available - Dancing Bear Gift Shop attendant
Cash register, light cleaning, dusting, rearranging/organizing shelves, pricing, shelving items
9:45–1:15 or 12:45–4:30 shifts available, six-month commitment - Meal Assistant
Help feed residents/patients
Breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts available - Day Recreation
Help residents keep active with games, music, hobbies, visits, manicures and more
Morning and afternoon shifts available - Spiritual Health – musician (piano player)
Play hymns for spiritual services, escort attendants
Saturday afternoon and Sundays morning shifts available - Spiritual Health – worship escort
Help residents/patients walk/wheelchair to and from Worship Centre, assist as needed during service
Saturday afternoon and Sundays morning shifts available - Evening Recreation escort
Help residents/patients walk/wheelchair to and from evening entertainment (games, crafts, etc.) and assist as needed
6:15–8:30 shifts available - Weekend Recreation card players
Crib, Bridge, or Rummy
6:15–8:30 shifts available - Weekend Recreation
Help residents/patients walk/wheelchair to and from weekend activities (curling, bowling, music, bingo, etc.) and assist as needed
Saturday and Sunday afternoon shifts available
